Waje Casino review: naira-only, Nigeria-only, with strict cash-out rules

Waje (wajegame.com) is a Nigerian casino and sportsbook run by Fortune House Network Limited, registered with the CAC under RC 1855033 and based in Wuse II, Abuja. Unlike every other casino in our ranking, it is not an offshore brand: everything runs in naira, payments go through OPay, PalmPay and bank transfer, and you can only play while you are in Nigeria.

Sign up and the ₦600 welcome credit

After registration our new account showed NGN 600.00 without any deposit. That credit is for trying the games: the cashier says any deposit is needed to unlock withdrawals. You will also be asked to bind a phone number and, before a cash-out, to verify your identity with your NIN or passport.

Login and the Waje app

You can play in the browser at wajegame.com, add it to your phone's home screen, or install the app from the account page; Waje says it is on Google Play and the App Store. Log in only through those official routes. Copycat "Waje login" pages and APK files from random sites are a common way to steal accounts and deposits, and we never ask for your Waje password.

Deposits: OPay, PalmPay, bank transfer

The cashier has three tabs: OPay, PalmPay and Bank Transfer. Quick buttons start at ₦1,000 and a single deposit can go up to ₦1,000,000. Without an OPay account you can still pay: the checkout gives you a virtual account number to send money to from any bank app, within 18 minutes. There is no crypto and no card option.

Withdrawals: read the rules first

Waje's terms set conditions that offshore casinos in our ranking do not:

  • Cash-outs go only to a Nigerian bank account in your own name.
  • A deposit has to be wagered before it can be withdrawn; money that was never bet cannot be taken back out.
  • Waje may set a daily payout limit.
  • Location is checked by IP, device and GPS. Playing through a VPN can cancel winnings and freeze the account.
  • Promotion purchases are final and not refunded.

We have not made our own timed withdrawal at Waje yet, so its payout score does not include a test result. Players on Nigerian forums report both successful withdrawals and complaints about delays and blocked accounts. Start small and withdraw once before depositing more.

Super Sale and other promotions

New players are shown a "Super Sale" pack: pay ₦1,999 and get ₦2,000 plus 500 coins straight away, then ₦100 plus coins on day 2 and day 3. There are also 7-day missions and a Daily Chip. Waje does not publish a rollover for these, so treat the bonus money as play money, not cash.

Waje Super Sale offer: ₦1,999 for ₦2,000 plus 500 coins, with smaller rewards on days 2 and 3

Games

Waje's own titles are Waje Whot, the Nigerian card game, and Waje Fish, a fishing shooter. Around them sit slots, more fishing games, crash and quick games from studios such as TaDa and Betsoft, plus a sportsbook on the same balance.

Licence

On its company site Waje lists National Lottery Regulatory Commission licence NLRC 00000038 and an FSGRN permit. We have not yet found the brand in the NLRC's public register ourselves, so we score it as an unconfirmed local licence. If you plan to deposit large sums, ask support for the licence and check it.

Who Waje suits

Players in Nigeria who want to stay in naira, pay with OPay or PalmPay and play local games like Whot. If you want fast crypto payouts with no turnover rule, or you travel outside Nigeria, the offshore casinos in our ranking fit better.

Licence and operator

Company: Fortune House Network Limited (RC 1855033)

  • NLRC (Nigeria) · #NLRC 00000038
  • FSGRN (Nigeria) (number not shown)

This operator says it holds a licence from the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC). On 22 November 2024 the Supreme Court ruled (A.G. Lagos State v. A.G. Federation) that lotteries and gaming are for the states to regulate and voided the National Lottery Act 2005, so it is unclear what an NLRC licence covers outside Abuja. Before depositing large sums, ask which state authority licenses the operator and check the number with that regulator.

Only players physically located in Nigeria can play. The casino checks your location, and using a VPN can get winnings cancelled and the account frozen.
